GoogleTranslate
Many teachers have a love-hate relationship with GoogleTranslate. How many times have you read something students have submitted and right away you know that it was done by plugging something into GoogleTranslate pushing translate, and then submitted - without any editing? If I had a even a quarter for every time this has happened, I could take a nice vacation somewhere.
There are teachers that forbid students from using GoogleTranslate in any way. Others recommend students use WordReference or other dictionary tools, which is good. The fact of the matter is, we need to teach students how to use the tool, not restrict it's use. I really like this BLOG entry:
