Each year, a Spanish teacher, by the name of Señor Ashby, organizes what is called "La locura de marzo" - which is a competition, similar to other sport tournaments, where 16 Latin songs are ranked and then paired against each other. Students can vote for their favorite songs that have been selected. After a few weeks of competition, and participation from many people all over the world, a "winner" is declared by those votes.
To participate, and earn points towards your Portafolio, please visit the following links during the periods indicated. Please note, that there are "pairings or match-ups" of different songs almost every day during these periods, and voting is only open for 48 hours for each pairing. So, please check in regularly with the links below so you won't miss out. It doesn't really take that much time - the equivalent of listening to two songs everyday - so about 8-10 minutes. To keep track of what is going on, you can print your bracket for the competition here: In order to receive credit for your Portafolio, you must show proof that you have participated in voting for each of the pairings. Indicate which song you voted for in each pairing and why, and then which song actually won.
Check it out! You might find some new songs to add to your playlist!
